Needs & Opportunity
About one third of India’s 1.2 billion population are children under the age of 14 years old. Most of them grow up poor and are condemned to a life of physical labor and social degradation. Millions of families are forced to send their children to work at an early age in order to help provide for basic family needs.
Approximately 35% of the school-aged children in India are not in school. We need to invest in the future of these children.
How it works
We provide after school programs to children from kindergarten through tenth grade. Trained school teachers help children with homework and prepare them for the next day of school. Attending children are provided basic nutrition before class to ensure they are physically ready to focus on their education.
